Balou du Rouet is for sure one of the best and most beautiful sons of Baloubet du Rouet. He was bred by Paul Schockemohle who has used him a lot in his own stud.
At the AOS auction in 2007, Be Bravo, an approved son of Balou du Rouet sold for 350.000 Euro and with that was the most expensive horse at the auction.
Vagante, the mother of Illegant is a daughter of the BWP legend Darco. Vagante was, as a 4 year old, a finalist at the Belgian Championship at Gesves and now jumps at Z-level. The BWP elite dam Vagante produced with Landor S also the most expensive colt at the auction of Mechelen in 2003.
